Supported by the ENeRAG project, two PhD students Anikó Lovász and Máté Biró (Department of Mineralogy) participated in the 10th Assembly of Petrology and Geochemistry organized by MTA-ELTE Volcanology Research Group. The conference took place 5-7 September in Mátraháza, Hungary. The supported students presented their results in oral presentation in economic geology session (Máté Biró: Hydrothermal ore textures and ore genesis of the carbonate replacement-type Pb-Zn mineralization of the Recsk Ore Complex (NE Hungary)) and in poster session (Anikó Lovász: Petrologic characteristics of the gabbroidal host rock in Cu-bearing stockwerk ore – Mirdita-zone (Albania). Anikó Lovász was awarded first price in poster session for her overly profound work.

The offical language of the conference was Hungarian, as the participants came mostly from Hungarian research institutes as ELTE, MTA, SZTE, but there were also several researchers from Babes-Bolyai University – Cluj Napoca as well.

The conference contained four presentations of the most recent topics in the four sessions: Economic Geology, Archeometry, Volcanology, and Geology of the Pannonian Basin. As an ending, the conference held three field trips, one of those leaded by Anikó Lovász, introducing the ore genesis along the Ilona-valley, Parádsasvár, Hungary.
