The Mineral Sciences in the Carpathians (MSCC) conference is a triannual meeting. The objective of the MSCC is to provide a high-quality and easily reachable regional meeting point for mineral and geoscientists of the Carpathian region.

The 8th edition of the conference was organized by the University of Miskolc (Hungary) together with Herman Ottó Museum and the Mineralogical and Geochemical Branch of the Hungarian Geological Society.

The conference was organized on 13-14 May 2021 and took place in the virtual space due to the continuous restrictions caused by the COVID-19 situation.

The ENeRAG project was represented by Máté Hencz (MSc student at ELTE), who presented his study with the title of ‘NEW MINERALS OF THE SKARN DEPOSIT OF THE RECSK ORE COMPLEX, MÁTRA MTS., HUNGARY’.

Despite the online format, the event could create a real opportunity for knowledge exchange and networking. Learning and providing an experience for students in communication on an international level are also honorable mentions.
