The Academy of Young Researchers (FKA) organized a “Science Communication Workshop” on 5 February 2020., where two members of ENeRAG attended.

The FKA was established in May 2019 by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, which aims to promote the dissemination on a scientific merit of the latest international and domestic scientific results and discoveries to the widest possible range of society.

During the first half of this event, four lecturers held presentations for the audience: Ádám Kun, a member of ELTE and the Ecological Research Center, talked about climate change. Máté Varga from ELTE spoke about the concept and regulation of gene engineering. Dezsõ Csupor, who came from the University of Szeged presented his lecture with the title: “Does it effective the nothing? Homeopathy and placebo effect”. Finally, a very current topic was presented by ELTE researcher Viktor Müller entitled “Coronavirus: the epidemic and the communication challenge”.

In the second half of the program, media professionals (journalists, radio broadcasters) provided information to researchers during a roundtable discussion and panel discussion about those possible ways and surfaces of the internet and press media where one can effectively communicate its results to the public, and how it will be worthwhile.
