ENeRAG H2020 Twinning project – an opportunity for mutual growth

The ENeRAG project started to run from 1 October 2018 through the cooperation of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), University of Milan (UMIL) and Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) and support of external partners. The aim is to upgrade the expertise of ELTE in the fields of geofluids through an innovative approach that relates diverse aspects of geofluids application. Geoenergy, groundwater and …

International Symposium on Geofluids – The most significant scientific event of the ENeRAG project

The ENeRAG project successfully hosted its most significant scientific event, the International Symposium on Geofluids. The largest and most anticipated event of the project was held virtually between 7-9 July 2021. The main objective of the Symposium was to bring together scientists, professionals, and stakeholders to share and discuss all kinds of topics in geofluids, and especially groundwater, to highlight the interaction among geothermal energy, hydrocarbon, geogenic contamination and hydrothermal mineral resources.  The international Symposium was organized by the ENeRAG H2020 …

Participation on the online part of the World Geothermal Congress 2020+1

ELTE PhD student Ábel Markó presented two conference papers at the World Geothermal Congress 2020+1. The papers introduce reinjection problems related to geothermal utilization and present specific methods to understand and prevent them. First paper (entitled „Analysis of Geothermal Reinjection Problems with Hydrogeochemical Modelling”) discusses the problem of mineral precipitation during geothermal operation and …
